Insurance and Billing

Starting on October 1, 2015, Superkids Pediatrics will not have any contractual obligations to any insurance companies.  In other words, most insurance companies will consider us “out of network”.  At the end of each visit, you will receive an itemized receipt (“superbill”) that you may submit to your insurance plan for reimbursement based on your out-of-network coverage.  Although we cannot guarantee any specific reimbursement rate, many of our patients with PPO or non-HMO plans receive significant reimbursement of 50-80% of the amount we charge (after any applicable deductible has been met).

Since our practice first opened, we have always made it our mission to practice up-to-date, evidence-based medicine with a thoughtful and personal approach.  Medical decisions and treatment plans are based on collaboration and discussion between parents, children, and the doctor — NOT the insurance company.  By remaining out of network, we can dedicate 100% of our effort and time to serving you and your children, without the burdensome interference or cryptic paperwork from insurers that normally monopolizes the time of most doctors and medical staff.
